RESCUE MISSION: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Answer International-funded operators have helped rescue more than 60 women and children from human trafficking networks in the Dominican Republic.

Our teams in the Dominican Republic, working alongside local law enforcement, helped launch coordinated raids targeting multiple trafficking operations. Victims were brought to safety, and those responsible were arrested on the spot.

Since these rescue operations began, the investigation has continued to gain momentum. Additional traffickers connected to these criminal networks have been identified and arrested as authorities work to dismantle every part of these operations.

Today, those rescued are receiving trauma counseling and meeting with psychologists and officials from the Attorney General’s Office as they begin the journey toward healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually. They are also being placed into safe housing where they can begin rebuilding their lives.

But our commitment doesn’t end there.

We continue walking alongside survivors by providing long-term support, equipping them with job skills, opportunities, and the resources they need to build lives free from exploitation and permanently break the cycle that once held them captive.

Because this investigation is still active, there is much we cannot share. However, we were granted permission to offer a rare glimpse into this mission. The images include some of the conditions where women and children were being enslaved, moments captured during the coordinated rescue operation, and a few of the traffickers after they were taken into custody.

While many details must remain protected to protect the legal process, we hope these images provide a deeper understanding of the harsh reality of human trafficking and the life-saving work being done to bring victims into safety.

This is Redemption.
